Help needed with recording industry speech
Alright, I need some help here. I want to find a profit distribution chart (or at least statistics from a verified source that I can make a chart from) showing how the profits from music CDs are split up. I'm sure I've seen one before, but I don't know where it was.
Just in case anyone's wondering, the tentative title of my speech is "Business practices of the Recording Industry Association of America."

I've been looking around for you, but I haven't found what you're looking for yet. Found lots of interesting stuff, but not what I wanted (unfortunately, almost all of my books are still packed, elsewise I could bury you in information). If you find something first, please post it here; I'd be interested to see it.

Find a copy of a Heston speech from an NRA website and edit some of the words. It will be very dramatic.Crayz9000 wrote:Alright, I need some help here. I like your suggestion, Marina, but the speech is supposed to be extemporaneous

No, it'll be Bowling For Columbine.Find a copy of a Heston speech from an NRA website and edit some of the words. It will be very dramatic.

You're required to do an extemp speech, but they give you the topic days ahead of time!?Crayz9000 wrote:I like your suggestion, Marina, but the speech is supposed to be extemporaneous
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.

The most you get to bring is a brief (read: only phrases) outline. And you need source material, meaning visual aids such as transparencies or PowerPoint.Howedar wrote:You're required to do an extemp speech, but they give you the topic days ahead of time!?Crayz9000 wrote:I like your suggestion, Marina, but the speech is supposed to be extemporaneous
So most of the speech is extemporaneous, but it is outlined. Kind of screwed up, I guess.

You can have my [edit]MP3s[edit] when you pry them from my cold, dead hands! Anyway, I say you should at least sound good when giving it. It might make it more dramatic. The Duchess of Zeon wrote:Find a copy of a Heston speech from an NRA website and edit some of the words. You can have my mp3's, when you transfer them from my hacked, reformatted hard drive.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:You can have my [edit]MP3s[edit] when you pry them from my cold, dead hands! Anyway, I say you should at least sound good when giving it. It might make it more dramatic.
