Why thank you, Marina. I think that would be quite enjoyable to write a Death Scene with you. We both can be very vendictive.

I still think that ASVS in it's heyday was more depraved that the whole SD put together. :)

*raises eyebrow* Fascinating.

At times like this I fear for my sanity. But then I remember that I have little sanity to speak of in the first place, and I relax.

Miss Grim wrote:I know that those threads weren't locked because of me, but because of what you guys term 'spam' (other forums I participate in only use 'spam' to refer to unsolicited advertisements, hence my confusion), yet it was still very frustrating to me that someone had accused me of being a troll and the relevant threads were being locked almost immediately. Arrgghhhh...
See? It was the mods' fault! Bad, bad mods!
PS - I *do* wish you would still allow that manga-style poking image with the girl being poked in the... erm... chest. That was adorable. Maybe as some sort of poking compromise, one representative could post that one image on a welcome/introduction thread, and the image could link to a poking web page with the other images and poking messages from forum members. That way everyone could get their pokes in and there wouldn't be any spam.
As a general rule, welcome threads or "my name is X and I'm new" always get locked after two or three pages, otherwise those involved would have immense post counts. It's not that the mods don't like them but they always get out of hand and grow indefinitely.

Most of the sucking up is because there are very few female members... but at least it isn't like the other forum I sometimes visit that every time a woman registers, everyone is like "show us your boobies!"

Hardly. I can multi-task. Besides, she said she's not gonna be on as much for awhile anyway, so it's mroe of a part-time thing.

My "Zealot (if they are what I think they are, or, perhaps, who  )" duties, on the other hand, are far, far more full-time.

Well, you'll just have to catch it on the reruns.

By the way, if you provide me with the full image of your avatar, I'll forgive you.

That pretty much is the full image. It's one of the four faces that were featured for the Warcraft III game.

Cool, I get to be apart of it.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Uh, Hi, Miss Grim. I've never heard of you until I stumbled across this thread and have no idea what happened or why.

But as far as I am concerned you or any other n00b is welcome here.

I hope you stick around and become as much of a beloved reguler as any of these other hosers.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

Zealot "zealot

\Zeal"ot\, n. [F. z['e]lote, L. zelotes, Gr. ?. See Zeal.] One who is zealous; one who engages warmly in any cause, and pursues his object with earnestness and ardor; especially, one who is overzealous, or carried away by his zeal; one absorbed in devotion to anything; an enthusiast; a fanatical partisan.

That seems to fit Rogue
