Couple things I didn't like.
Taxpayers should not be expected to prop up any theatres or museums that cannot survive on a commercial basis.
Why the hell did they include Thatres with museums?.....grrrr
Everyone has their rights, but it is better for all of us that different sorts of people should keep to their own kind.
I did not understand this one. Could someone clarify.
There are no savage and civilised peoples; there are only different cultures.
Errrr....what savage people? The Afrikaner tribes?

Got me

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I think it was supposed to a mock pro-segregation argument, but since I'm not sure, I simply disagreed.

I can't agree with a statement I can't understand.

Nothing too surprising there, I think.

Basically, I'm less socialist and more libertarian than the Dalai Lama. I'm about equal left/right to Jean Chretien, but more libertarian than anybody on their chart.

Huh, whaddaya know? I'm a libertarian leftist, in the same area as Ghandhi, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. Interesting:

Economic Left/Right: -3.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -2.72

Not bad. Interesting that Pope John Paul II ranks in the same region as Saddam Hussein, Robert Mugabe and Yasser Arafat. Actually, folks here will wonder why that is surprising to me at all, and after careful contemplation.... hmm....
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Oops, posted a bit too soon. My rating doesn't really suprise me, I'm apathetic towards most things, which explains my far leaning to Libertarian and in economics I like a balance of freedom and control.

yep, you shot right past Vlad Lennin, and if you keep moving left you're gonna shoot off the chart and come back around the other side where all of a sudden you'll find yourself wearing chinos and docksiders giving a lecture on supply-side economincs at a Log Cabin Republican rally! :P

I don't consider communism that great an idea, since it allows for numerous human rights violations.

Actually, Stalin did nothing but take Lenin's policies to extremes. With devastating results, of course.
