I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Whaa? Its a song. Whyd you move it to politics and why would it turn into a flame war?

It's not a political song, really, is it.

It's actually a bit of a low point for Lamacq's taste, usually reasonably good.

This absolutely does not belong in Politics. Ease up on the trigger finger.

The song sucks ass and annoys me, and the damn radio stations here have to play it 10 times a day. The song belongs in a teen movie for the scene where the little shits are running around tipping cows or something like that.

I went down to the beach and saw Kiki
She was, like, all "ehhhh"
And I was, like, "whatever!"

Then this chick comes up to me and she's all, like,
"Hey, aren't you that dude?"
And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

So later I'm at the pool hall
And this girl comes up
And she's, like, "awww"
And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

Cuz this is my
United States of Whatever!
And this is my
United States of Whatever!
And this is my
United States of Whatever!

And then it's three A.M.
And I'm on the corner, wearing my leather
This dude comes up and he's, like, "hey, punk!"
I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

Then I'm throwing dice in the alley
Officer Leroy comes up and is, like,
"Hey, I thought I told you..."
And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

And then up comes Zafo
I'm, like, "yo, Zafo. What's up?"
He's, like, "nothin'"
And I'm, like, "that's cool."

Cuz this is my
United States of Whatever!
And this is my
United States of Whatever!

Gee, what politically explosive lyrics. Good call moving it here.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster

when i originaly heard this song on the Sifle & Ollie show I thought it was pure genious. It mocked a pop culture that stoped existing five years earilyer. its sad that it got over exposed, but if you hate it for being "stupid" then you obviously don't get it. Its mocking an attitude that was in fact stupid. aside from that its also just kinda silly, & quite frankly the world needs more silliness.
"its just vile & wrong, and it just makes me giggle."
