Alternate stun scene

Alternate stun scene
I havent been able to find this again but when I first saw Star Wars the scene where Leia is stunned instead of the storm troopers setting the blasters for stun she was stunned by a two person weapon that shot a pink beam. I know im not crazy because the Instruction booklet of the Origional nientendo Star wars game has a picture of it. I was wondering has anyone here seen the alternate scene and why was it ever made.

I've never heard anything about such a scene (and believe me, I would have if it existed).
It sounds like you just confused the scene as it appears in the NES game with the one in the movie (in a way sort of like the "Biggs on Tatooine" scene with The Star Wars Storybook).
When did you first see Star Wars?

First time i saw it was 10-11 years ago on tv. I remember it clearly because when i saw the movie again it had the normal scene. I thought i was going nuts untill i confirmed what i saw with the picture in instruction booklet. the scene isnt in the game there is just a picture in the instruction manual. It had a picture of the two storm troopers carrying the stun rifle.
Not a drawing an actual picture. I have never seen it in movie form again though. The only thing i could think of is that it was a TV edit version.

A TV-edited version wouldn't have a completely different scene from what happened. You must be nuts.

sounds like the scene was changed for the book. The image from the movie may have been placed in the book without the beam, some editor type person wanted beams, then had an artist add them?

Post a scan, that's the only way we'll be able to tell for sure. Do you still have the instruction booklet?
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Yeah, that's actually exactly what it sounds like.Macross wrote:That is a picture of the stormtroopers shooting at Luke and Leia across the chasm on the Death Star, right before they swing across.
Good job. *thumbs up*

That is the picture in question. It's two stormtroopers standing close together with a cloud from a nearby bolt impacting on the wall or something.Hasler wrote:That would clear things up if it didnt show two storm troops holding a weapon that is shooting some sorta pink gas or something like that. I would email it too you Thrawn but i cant find any where to add an attachment to the email. I have the pictures scanned in right now though.
EDIT: Found it on TF.N:
As you can see, they are on the Death Star (in particular at a bridge), the smoke is from the wall, and they are each holding a single rifle.
Chalk it up to selective memory.
