Scum Runs Down Jogger

Post by jegs2 »

From this story:
Teen accused of deliberately striking jogger had macabre list of resolutions, officials say
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — A teenager accused of running down a jogger in hopes of having sex with her corpse drafted a macabre list of "resolutions" a year earlier that included a desire to "taste human flesh" and shoot someone, according to court documents.
School officials were alerted to Daniel Robbins' list at the time and met several times with his parents, but the boy had no other problems in school, a police officer testified Tuesday.

The list of New Year's resolutions Robbins assembled as part of a typing class assignment was entered as evidence during a hearing to determine whether the 16-year-old should be tried as an adult for the May 27 jogger attack.

Police say Robbins said in a videotaped interview that he picked the jogger at random and deliberately hit her with his vehicle. Investigators said he told a friend who was with him that he planned to have sex with the body, and repeated those statements to police.

Patty Emanuel, 40, suffered a broken pelvis, vertebrae and ribs and other injuries. She spent a month in the hospital.

Robbins was arrested the day of the attack after his companion told his mother what happened. The companion was not charged.

The police officer assigned to Russell High School, Daralee Murphy, testified Tuesday that school officials met with Robbins and his parents several times after his teacher alerted them to the boy's "resolutions."

In addition to tasting human flesh and shooting someone on a camping trip, Robbins listed among his goals: "Get a driver's license so I can do those horrible things people like to read about in the paper."

He made the list on Jan. 6, 2002, when he was 15.

Robbins remains in custody at a juvenile detention center. Judge Kenneth Neill gave attorneys another week to submit more information on whether Robbins would be tried as an adult.

If convicted as an adult, Robbins could get as much as life in prison. If convicted as a juvenile, he could be held until age 18, then would be on probation until he's 21.
I hope that dirtbag is tried as an adult.

That sentence alone throws out any insanity plea in the U.S., he arguably is showing knowledge of right and wrong with the use of the word "horrible".

Shouldn't it take some sort of moral/intellectual maturity to be tried as an adult? (which this fellow clearly lacks)

Thrill-killers. Every now and then, you hear about one of these little shits. There was a gang of 14 year olds in Chatham (a small town in Ontario) who grabbed a 7 year old, beat him up, and threw him in front of a train about 7 or 8 years ago because they wanted to see what it would look like.

Under the young offender's act, they were tried as adolescents, given a slap on the wrist, and they're all walking around free today. Their identities were even kept secret for their protection and to keep this little mistake from harming their future employment prospects

And remember those two kids in Britain that captured a toddler, James Bulger I think his name was, and tortured him and left him on train tracks to be cut up by the engine's wheels? It was a few years ago, but shocked people all over the world.

Some people are just born mean and sadistic, it seems...
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I'm sure Montana's version of justice will se this little shit become someone's bitch in the pen. Afterall, the closest thing to a women in there would be him. He'll *get* the sex he was looking for in some form or another.

I thought this thread was titled "Scum runs down Jagger", as in Mick Jagger at first I was relieved he isn't dead, now I'm pissed at who did this.

He'll never get an insanity plea. That only works if your brain is actually broken and you don't know what you're doing. Being a twisted, sadistic fuck doesn't count. Considering the suspect's age, the nature of the offense, and the location, he'll probably be tried as an adult. The only leniance he'll get is the opportunity for parole in about ten years.

Yeah, more's the pity. Hopefully he'll get a knife between the ribs in prison--that sort of mind screams "re-offend".

One can hope. We had one of our cop killers get stuck with a shiv on death row here, saving the taxpayers of the State of New Jersey millions of dollars in legal fees while he pursued his appeals (we haven't gotten around to actually executing anybody since the death penalty was re-legalized). Like I said to my friends at the time, I'm absolutely, positively sure the guards knew nothing about it in advance and made every effort to prevent it from happening. If only Jesse Timmedequas would suffer a similar unfortunate accident, but I'm sure he's in solitary confinement for his own protection.
