Locked Threads

Post by Dorsk 81 »

After my week long (or so) abscence, I was browsing through SLAM and in here and noticed there are quite a few locked topics.
Now is this because the Mods are on a power trip for some obscure reason or are there more stupid people around or have we run out of good things to talk about and are just posting crap?

Check the announcements in each forum. SLAM and the HoS have new policies.

Both were becoming over run with Me-tooers and attention whores. We're now cracking down on that to prevent said troube makers from ruining SLAM and spaming HoS.

You can see the date and time where each announcement was posted. That's when the policies came into effect.

EDIT: Fixed the link.

It's because you touch yourself at night, really, it is. But seriously, what the moderator guys said.

Yea, I just read the SLAM announcement and I saw Mikes the other week, but why don't you just delete spam posts and pokes instead of locking whole threads?

That's done if they're ruining good threads. Threads that started off as spam just get locked down. I've been locking threads in the HoS generally after one side or the other concedes (or is so thoroughly beaten I'm doing them a favor by closing the thread), as well.

It's because you touch yourself at night, duh! :D

Oh no you don't! If anyone's been touching themselves at night, it's Stormbringer. He made the links!

Because I'm an idiot. It's fixed now. The post, I mean, is fixed. You all are stuck with the idiocy.

Dammit all! I said Stormbringer posted the links, but you actually did.

I keep confusing you two for some reason. I keep thing you posted something Storm posted, and vice versa. It's wierd. :|

I don't doubt it. Been doing it ever since I got here. One day I'll learn the difference between them. Despite the vastly different names, avatars, and sigs.

Maybe it's the titles. I see "Red" in Storm's, then I think of RedImp. It's not much, but it's the only reason I can think of why I would confuse the two.

And theski, if you don't stop about the Jammies thing, I'm gonna go get one of Ein's railguns.

I don't have those.

In what I actually wear to bed.

Or go find that thread that asked the question, and see if I answered in it.

I do have a TMNT blanket and a Michelangelo pillow around, somewhere, though. No SW bedtime stuff.

I suppose then that it's a good thing I took "RedImperator" instead of "Red Storm", like I was considering (I didn't want to explain to people 900 times that, no, it's not from the Clancy novel OR St. John's University, I just think it sounds cool)
