How did you hear of SD net

Just wondering, are most people here from ASVS? I'm wondering if pretty much all the regulars are here just under different names, haven't seen Kynes, or Jonathan Boyd for a while (maybe he ran off after Mike posted that E-mail exchange on his creationist hate mail page) but a few of you I recognize, like Poe, Phong and Strowbridge.

Well, partially ASVS and partially my own semi-regular visits to the site before it gained a BBS.

Surfed Metacrawler for "Star Destroyer" since I like them and came up with this site. It didn't have a forum at the time.

I discovered the main site just surfing around one day, after that I checked for updates pretty regularaly. I somehow missed the announcement the board had been created for more than a week.

ASVS. I never posted enough or debated there, so I was never really a full-fledged member (sorta like here), but regardless, ASVS led me to SDnet.

I was surfing the web and searching on Stardestroyer related topics, found Mike's site and started visiting it reguarly to see stupid Trekkies getting pounded into the dirt for about a year. Then I saw a BBS started, lurked for about two weeks and decided to join.

When I was volunteering at VBS for a week, my friends and I were working on setting up tables and talking about ST vs. SW(as all good geeks do) and this new guy mentioned the website that showed that the Federation was doomed. I came, and I stayed, it was about 4 years ago.

I was searching for SW vs ST subjects, and I found the SW vs ST webring. One of the links was Mike's site (a couple years before the BBS came out). When the BBS did come out, I signed up within the first week.
