I've had numerous request from various webcomic artists to have an mp3 of the broadcast tonight made and sent to them.
The broadcast is tonight at 8pm AEST for one hour.
The address that it streams from is www.edgeradio.org.au
If anyone is able to make a copy of the show and mp3 it I would be very greatful and reward them with an armful of cookies.
Assistance please

Re: Assistance please
If you can make a .wav file out of it, I could gladly mp3 it. I've got a MP3 to Wav converter in which it can also do the reverse.weemadando wrote:I've had numerous request from various webcomic artists to have an mp3 of the broadcast tonight made and sent to them.

Wait, nevermind, this is fricking easy.
First, get WM Recorder 8. Run the program in URL mode. Go to Options->Settings and then click "WMR Directory" to tell where you want to save your stuff in.
Afterwards, copy the url mms://emedia1.its.utas.edu.au/wmtencoder/live.wma into the large URL field and hit record.
Next, fire up Winamp (2.91) and use the Disk Writer plugin. Change the codec to MP3 (since it's a webcast, don't bother with anything high - something like 32kbit probably would work). Hit play and let it process the file.
