A question for necronlord

Post by 2000AD »

How evil are the Necrons really?

Are they evil like the tyranids because it's what they do naturally and they know nothing else

Evil like Eldar, it just depends on your point of view

Evil like Chaos, because Chaos is evil!

Evil like Dark Eldar, because they like being evil

I'd say they're as evil as it's necessary to keep the balance with good.

Though Necy might be able to answer that better.

from a human perspective, they make the dark eldar look nice.

This has been stated by andy chambers somewhere on the games workshop website, that they're even worse than the dark eldar, and as he was in charge of their development, i'd say he's right.

This is of course from the human/imperium perspective, to their own species then they're fine. They are evil in the same way Jehovah is evil. And that's some evil.... . They kill galaxies for amusement...

One thing to remeber about the Necrontyr is that they were jealous of all the other raves because there life spans were so short due to radiation .The jealousy turned to hatred and thats why they started killing other races. The C`tan were created after they were discovered

Actually the C'Tan have existed longer than IIRC any other life-form. They just didn't pay attention to anyone until the Necrontyr were getting slapped around and managed to somehow call them for help... then the C'Tan promptly turned around and stabbed them in the back.

weren't the necrontyr all killed and turned into the necrons by the c'tan? I'd call that being stabbed in the back, especially since on of the c'tan is called the Deciever. Bit of a give away there.

Yep. A good number of them went willingly (since they hadn't quite been told everything getting their shiny new immortal body would entail) some didn't.. but in the end yes the C'Tan stabbed them in the back (then set the corpse on fire for good measure) and enslaved them :)

And then Khainew went and killed their strongest, after the Harlequin God got him to eat his mates... Suppieror may ass, The Necron's are fools... Actually it raises a Question, is Slannesh actually a C'Tan, I'll present my evidence.

When Khaine Killed the Uber C'tan, it's essence fled entered the Eldar Species, starting the Coruption that led to the Fall.
The Fall was the Birth of Slannessh...
Slannesh is the gathered souls/essences of the Eldar who where Corupt.
Since the Coruption Came from the C'Tan killed by Khaine, does that mean it is, at least in part, this C'tan reborn...
Other Arguements in it's favour. This C'Tan was the first being to make Eldar afraid of Death, as it destroyed the Soul of the Eldar preventing their reincarnation.
Slannesh reawoke this fear of Death as he/she/it eats the Souls of the Eldar preventing Their Reincarnation. Coincidence?
