A few questions, asides from it being a kick ass movie..

Anyone know what was in the case?

Was DeNiro "Sam" still working for the US? Or was he a freelancer?

DAMN! Haven't seen that movie since it came out. I do rember the kick-ass car chases though, nothing much else.

Sam was freelance IIRC, no, we never find out what was in the case. It's another annoying pulp-fiction type thing.

No, he wasn't. He clearly says that in the movie.

Sam was posing as a freelancer in order to recover the case.

I was just wondering though, because even his buddy, the other American that gets all guys number thought Sam had left the business.

Well, I'm sure the CIA took some measures to support Sam's story about himself. Otherwise the antire operation would be pretty pointless, if a simple fixer-guy could figure it out

Sam worked for the US Government, he says that at the end to the girl, remember the line?

"I never left! Get out of here!" The line is something like that anyway.

We never find out what is in the case.

And that was a really freakin' cool movie by the way.
