Prepare for the Imperial Invasion

Post by Shadow WarChief »

You have recently been appointed President of the Federation and you know that in 1 year, the Imperials will rush through the as of yet undiscovered worm-hole.

What do you do to prepare to fight the imperials as best as possible and minimize losses.

Surrendering as the first Star Destroyer comes through is not an option.

How did I find out?

Begin developing any and all technology - let section 31 go wild.

Start making alliances.

Search for the wormholes.

Prep ships for combat and crank out as many warships as possible.

Recall all ships to federation space.

PS Have I got that sweet post endgame Voyager tech?

lol yeah a few grams of the antimatter they carry can rip the atmosphere off a plannet.

25 grams of TOS antimatter is equivalent to 3,000,000,000,000,000 TJ.

Take that Imps :).

Don't surrender per se, ask for vassalship, or if the Empire wants complete control, ask to be allowed to join. That oughta work.

Surrender starmaps, intelligence data, and a few planets that were too far from Earth anyway in exchange for vassalship, aim the Imperials at your pesky neighbours.

Don't forget to give them the prefix code of ships like the Enterprise; you can't risk having them ruining everything with some half assed subspace bomb of doom or similar BS.

he IMP might be able to take over the Feds (I think they would take some losses if fought but that all depends on which numbers are in use) but could they keep control - they couldnt hold onto their own space why would the Feds be different.

Hey, if the FedCitizens will live in an amoral communist nation, they'll live in a amoral empire. The biggest difference will be easier access to better consumer goods.

Or, I could send Timothy Jones to an ISD, and the Imperials would assume that the Federation Galaxy contains no intelligent life forms. But that might make the Feds look like easier prey. The only option would be to transform to an alternate dimension where the rules of combat are akin to a Trekkie Newsgroup Fantasy.

Replicator, shmeplicator. If no one makes it, you replicate it. After all, you do need something to replicate.

Also Remener replicators are not perfect and they have an error factor(Why Repilcated foods don't taste as good as made foods and thus why they still have Chiefs around)

So Say
Replicate Pentium XXXIV and Motherboard for it!
Might not exactly work

Though it should work for stuffed animals and the like
The cheap gifts become cheaper :)

I've heard Picard speak. I've also heard Tarkin speak. They both sound real good if it's what you want to hear, but how about watching what they do?

Picard allows entire civilizations to die, because of a petty 'Prime Directive' and a moronic Slippery Slope fallacy in his head. Tarkin is only slightly worse, slaying billions, many of them probably innocent of any wrong against the Empire, for interrogation and demonstration.

Yes, the Federation is amoral. Deal with it.

As for consumer goods, Replicators repeatedly show themselves incapable of replicating things, from blood to rainwater. Besides, with your precious replicators, civilians still can't own ships. One KDY-owned shipyard in the new Imperial-run UFP and people will be able to their own custom, luxury rides that outrun even Borg vessels.
