Why do so many girls think that the only way for them to be popular is to be the stupid cocksucking slut?
I know far too many intellegent girls who are willing to go along with this stereotype for no reason. they are already popular, do they just crave more attention?
Case in point, a girl in some of my classes. During AP English, she, me and her friend have an interesting in-depth discussion about the homoerotic overtones of Shakespeares play "Twelth Night". Then during Calculus she comments about how she is dumb, because she didn't get a play on words my friend made.
What is up with you woman? She is in a fucking college english course and calculus, which puts her above 90% of american 18 year old girls, and yet she still thinks of herself as a dumb slut. My puny masculine mind can't wrap itself around why so many women are willing to be a stereotype, instead of actually being their intellegent selves.

I noticed her cause she had nice bouncy breasts and was very smart. The "I'm a dumb slut" approach is actually somewhat of a turnoff.
Maybe its just me, but I really hate dumb woman. No matter how nice your ass is, if you can't talk to me about something more interesting than your last trip to the mall get lost. With the dumbfuck society America has today, this has made me rather popular with the ladies.

I would really like the input of some woman or the excellent gay community (you don't have the same "Ugg, bone woman" attitude) in this matter. Have others noticed that many smart woman are actually degrading themselves, and turning off potential mates with this idiotic behavior.

Perhaps most of those smart girls who conform with the steryotypes lack self esteem and such. More confident girls will be more independent to the steryotypes and act how they want and dress how they want and if they don't wanna dress like sluts, they won't, if they do, they do.

"Hot + Intelligent = Score" --- If you think otherwise, I'd think you're gay.

"Hot + Dumb = Still OK" --- 99.9999% of all men

"Ugly + Intelligent = ???" --- ??? Unknown, maybe be high, but probably less than 99.9999 %

"Ugly + Dumb = ???" --- You are desperate

The point is, what's the first thing guys notice?
And for most of us, that's enough. Intelligence is a nice bonus, not a requirement.

I like Wong's explanation. Guys generally like to in charge (butt sex, having the girl swallow, etc), so the girls who act dumb do it because it works. If they play down to the guy, the guy will probably like it (not all mind you, but many).

My big problem was that I am not on the cocksucking list.
Innerbrat, she didn't do it as bad as her friends. I still kinda like her.

The focus is not on that single girl, but why many girls in general think they have to act this way.
Another case. My friend was trying to woo this girl. He had just started, when, the two of us, hanging out, saw her at a football game. Playing around, she grabbed me and led me to the visitors section, hiding from my best friend. We started talking, and I found out she was rather sharp witted. She was really into most of my jokes, and my little musings on life, and shit. So, a few days latter, we see her again. While my friend is hitting on her, she is flirting with me like crazy. Then, the next day, I find out that night after I left she decided she wanted to go out with my friend. She had basically ignored him all day and was all over me, and then she went out with him. When I later got an explaination I was told that while I was really funny, I was only kinda cute (true) and that my friend, while sorta funny, was cute. Of course, the relationship lasted about 4 weeks, just long enough for him to fuck her. She thought she had to have the good looking boyfriend and please him, and it cost her 4 weeks and a lot of trouble after the break-up.
Does anything see the problem with this. Had she not been so vain, or had she been more willing to not be the slut, she might have had an actual relationship (my friend really did like her, but he thought she was sorta slutty, because she gave away her body way to easily).

Dude, they were different people.
The first girl didn't act like a slut. She just felt she had to be dumb, even though she was very intellegent. It was just annoying and sort of a turn off.
The second girl really did feel she had to be the whore. She gave herself up so easy just for acceptance.
My real problem I guess, is why do so many girls have such low self esteem, even after people tell them repeatedly that they are smart, or that they aren't fat, or that they're hot.
Most of the woman on this board probably don't have self esteem problems and probably didn't hang around people who did. But many of my friends had self esteem problems, and no matter how many people told them they weren't dumb sluts, and didn't have to act like one, they still did. Is it some big societal push on women, do they feel they have to be all in your face with their misplaced sexuality, or act like fucking idiots, teeheeing and running over to their jock boyfriend of the week.
And why is it that girls don't like the guy that will tell them the truth, that they aren't stupid, that they aren't fat, but the guy who tells them they are a dumb slut. Honestly, you woman don't make sense.

i know alot of girls who suck alot of cock and are very slutty but they do it because they ENJOY sexual acts, and generally like give and take (ie they suck and get eaten out by the guy they are sucking, not necesasrily simultaneously). I find people like this to have some of the healtiest attitudes towards sex, they enjoy it, they admit they enjoy it, and they have sexual acts without all that emotional baggage but instead admit they are just doing it for fun and entertainment, ect (they also make sure that they are being safe generally, otherwise i yell at them)

Of course, this can sometimes apply to those out there that are lesbian trying to attract women, and sometimes those that are gay men trying to attract other men.

Is she *really* playing dumb, or is she just being expressive? I know I have a tendancy to put myself down because I expect that I *should* know it, and I try not to go easy on myself with excuses like "at least I'm smarter than most"... I tend to say "that was stupid" or "I'm an idiot". I was at the university to learn, not make excuses.

Many of my friends or the same. I know that in my university we used to do this all the time amoung friends, one of our group would do something wrong, and the rest would fall off their chairs laughing, saying "oh man, you're such an idiot!". It was all good fun.

There's a difference between a woman who enjoys sex and a "slut". The term "slut" is a derogatory term that generally applies to women who will sleep with just about anybody since they set the bar low for admission; not what I would expect from a thinking woman.
