My wife and I were watching it one night, and we actually liked it, maybe because it was so different from anything else. As silly as the show is, I'll take it over Survivor, Big Brother, or any other nausia-causing "reality" show currently polluting the airwaves and cable networks. To be fair, I soon went back to the computer to play either MOO3 or some other game, but then I don't watch much TV...

I distinctly rmember Banzai as an old USA bit before it became a show, USA would air a movie and Banzai would do short little bits before and after each commercial break. THe funny thing I saw one time was "How many fat ladies will the hot bikini lady be able to shoot with a shotgun"

She got all five fat lady ballooons, looked like a pretty good shot the way she handled that thing.

the FOx show, well, lets just say Ive watched it twice and it was not very good while sober.

Banzai is british... its not gonna get cancelled unless fox buy channel 4, or channel 4 stop selling the franchise.

There is also the fact that the show was very succesful here, with the 15-25 age bracket, and channel 4 have made a lot of money out if it.

Cancelled as in 'no longer on FOX' , doesnt matter how well it does in England if it cant get viewers over here. That 15-25 bracket is the hardest bracket to crack thanks to ever decreasing attention spans and alternate forms of entertainment such as cable tv, the internet, and plain and simple getting out of the house, so unless a show is pulling in huge numbers at desired time slots there will always be doubts.

This little bit reminds me of the one in the movie UHF for some reason. :? :? :?~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Thats what i meant by channel 4 stop selling the franchise (also meaning fox stop buying it)

but seriously... what time/day is the show put out in the states?

In the uk its in the late night while the audience is drunk friday night bracket.

Currently being filled by bo selecta. < --- Hilarious program

That show is quite possibly the worst piece of shit that FOX has ever attempted to air.

Hopefully, just two more episodes. But frankly, I don't think that's a realistic hope.

Banzai is pretty bad. But worst show ever to air on FOX? Not even close. Who wants to be a gold digging whore (aka Joe Millionare) was far worse. Not to mention a whole bunch of their other low brow sleazy sex oriented reality show.

Banzai is annoying, and as a parody to japanese game shows, probly could be done better, and it's allreay pulled off of FOX they just don't have anything to fill the slot so they are playing them out. Hey, at least the supermodels blowing on the tube was hot.

What are the Nielsen ratings for the show? I'm sure that will play a part in how long it lasts. I haven't seen it myself, but the commercials were really annoying.

Hopefully none. I saw it once while flipping thru channels and my thoughts were "oh my god...the suck...make it stop!" I've yet to see a more abrasive and annoying show, I can't understand why anyone would want to watch it.

Considering the inteliigence of the average American, it'll probably become one of the most popular show on Fox.
Don't hate; appreciate!
