Yes, I did. And nowhere does it mention anything about conquering anyone. Read about the first Aliyot to Israel. Totally Legal.Drooling Iguana wrote:The fact that Israel doesn't have a constitution doesn't make it a racist apartheid state. Really? Racist Apartheid State? I don't see any Israeli Arabs bitching about their rights! Only the denizens of the Occupied Territories. at Dictionary.com is:Have you read the definition you quoted?

Since you're telling me to think, why don't you practice what you preach? The United Kingdom happens to be bound by a myriad of Europen Union human rights legislation that prevents racism. Of course, this doesn't stop individual or corporate cases of racism but it is not institutionalised government sponsored racism as in your beloved Israel.Vorlon1701 wrote:England doesn't have a constitution either, dumb fuck. Does that mean that they're also a racist apartheid state? THINK!
My point exactly. Here is what I wrote in case you (Vorlon1701) missed it the first time round:DroolingIguana wrote:The fact that Israel doesn't have a constitution doesn't make it a racist apartheid state. The fact that Israel is a racist apartheid state means that it cannot have a constitution.
How about understanding someone's post before engaging in knee-jerk reactions?Supreme_Warlord wrote:.......Why do you think Israel lacks a constitution? Could it be that a constitution would grant ALL its citizens equal rights?.......
Clearly you have access to the Internet, but seem to stupid to use it properly. How about the following for starters:Vorlon1701 wrote:Really? Racist Apartheid State? I don't see any Israeli Arabs bitching about their rights! Only the denizens of the Occupied Territories.
- Israeli Discrimination Against Non-Jews Is Carefully Codified in State of Israel's Laws
- A Status Report – Equality for Arab Citizens of Israel
- Human Rights Watch: Second Class: Discrimination Against Palestinian Arab Children in Israel's Schools - Vocational and Technical Education
- Israel's Palestinians
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, no explanation will suffice.

Actually, I am the last person on this board who would make that connection, as I have pointed out in numerous past threads about Israel before. MY point was that there is a reason why many people DO make that connection: because of the attitudes that seemed to permeate not only this thread but others-- that supposedly Israel 'can do no wrong' because of "Jewish power in the Government", but that the stuate 'must be punished' in some way for acting in some uncivilized manner, while the incivility of the neighbors does not draw hardly breath of criticism.Supreme_Warlord wrote:Expect to be treated as you treat others. You are the kind of pathetic loser who huffs and puffs and screams anti-Semitism about ANY criticism of Israel (note the use of the word Israel and not Jew).
When I see long winded huff-n-puff articles berating everything in and about Israel but no criticism of the Arabs' brutality, what am I going to think? You kvetch about Israel being an apartheid state-- did you know that in the Israeli Declaration of Independence there are clauses in there calling for peace and good neighborliness and the 'extension of the hand to friendship' to the Arabs, even in the midst of the war the ARABS started to literally wipe Israel off the map?
Israel has no Constitution because the Declaration of Indepence of the State of Israel embodies most of the principles that a Constitution would call for; also since the nation has been in a State of Emergency since its birth there was little thought to drafting something that would be immediately suspended anyway.
Arabs that live in Israel now already have the right to vote and own property, and there are Arab Members of the Knesset (Parliament). Did you know that Arabs in Israel have more power to influence their government than in Arab-Muslim lands? And when you go tilting at the windmills of Israeli 'partheid' did you consider that the 'poor downtrodden Arabs' are sneaking into subdivisions in the middle of the night and cutting the throats of families? Or the fact that non-Muslims that live in MUuim lands are subject to 'apartheid' as well? No?
You're right, 'knee-jerk reaction' was the wrong term to use. 'Swallower of Palestinian Propaganda' is more adept. It is the Israeli Right Wing that believes in the return of Jews to the entire land of Israel, including Judea and Samaria, not every single Israeli, most of whom do not want to sponsor Settlements in the Occupied Territories. When I left, in June of 2002, some 77% of Israelis polled (and reported in Ha'aretz Newspaper) wanted to exchange the Territories for peace if they thought a real believable Palestinian partner is there. If Israel was inextricably intertwined with Judaism, why is the movement to conquer Palestine called Zionism? To most of us, the two (Zionism and Judaism) are seperate things. Its your buddies over in the Promised Land who fail to draw a distinction between the two.
'Zionism' is the return of the Jews to the land of Israel. Period. That was what Theodore Herzl meant it to be and the Israelis that got their independence were willing to do with a lot less than what they got. Israel has given back huge parcels of land (ie, Sinai twice, Golan Heights once) in exchange for peace when in truth they had the strength to keep it if they chose to, and they pulled out of Lebanon with no promise of peace from the Arabs at all, when again they could have squashed the place flat.
It takes two people to make peace, buddy-- and in this case it falls on the Arabs as well as the Israelis to make steps. Israel has friends in the US government for many reasons, and not only because of some shadowy Jewish organization-- votes and PACs, just like everyone else, from the NRA to Greenpeace to NAMBLA, they all want to get heard and get things going in their favor. There are more Muslims in America than Jews, and they can do the same thing.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

How about understanding the subject before posting? I'm sure you've never read about the foundation of Tel Aviv, have you?Supreme_Warlord wrote:How about understanding someone's post before engaging in knee-jerk reactions?
Yeah, and I WAS FUCKING THERE! I went to Masa'De, and Majdal Shams! I didn't read some bullshit thing on the Internet! You wanna know what the average car I saw there was?!? A Mercedes Benz! NOTE: I deliberately left out many articles printed in Arab/Palestinian websites in case you felt the need to accuse me of peddling their propaganda.

- Human Rights Watch: Second Class: Discrimination Against Palestinian Arab Children in Israel's Schools - Vocational and Technical Education

And one last thing. There are two official languages in Israel. Hebrew, of course, and Arabic! Name me ONE Arab/Muslim country that provides the same courtesy. Please.
