After what I've seen it the movies and the games, I'd take light.(The only game where dark wins that I've seen is K.O.T.O.R., where you can choose to be dark.) Dark maybe fun but they die such nasty deaths.(Cut in half, shocked to death, thrown down a never ending shaft...) While the Light side might be a bit boring, you still have the force, something not everyone has. Healing and a long life for me.

We're using the JK2 powers, which means that even if you tried that, a Light Sider can Absorb your attack.consequences wrote:Where does it say Dark Side can't heal itself? If nothing else, I can drain the life force out of my enemies, and use it to augment my own.

What is the concencus here for the limitgs of each side? In EU books we have Luke Skywalker healing multiple brain hemorages (The Courtship Of Princess Leia) and Being able to Force Push 30 ISD's (Darksaber) but also in the EU we have Vader briefly healing his scared and battered lungs (Shadows Of The Empire) and being able to transfer you soul to a new clone of your self (Darksaber)

I'd go total Dark Side, to the level of Exar Kun, but with patience so I don't burn myself out like Palpatine (consider he was like 100 years old, that is probably not a problem)
Exar Kun was dark enough, he COULD use the light side to heal. You can duplicate all Light side powers with the Dark side if powerful and intelligent enough.
I'd love to be a Exar Kun power level darksider/Sith on modern Earth. 4 billion slaves just waiting to happen.
Think about it
Lots of hot babes to be your harim girls, including celebreties, models and porn stars.
No hyperdrive travel, so the rest of the galaxy is ignoring you, and they can't call for help without hyperradio.
I mean, it would be very, very, very simple to take over Earth if you had that kind of mental power.
Then you use the Force to build yourself a lightsaber (powerful masters can do it with whatever materials are around, suggesting atomic reconstruction) of whatever freaking color and configuration you want, and enjoy being overlord
FYI, my lightsaber
Color: Multiple; buttons to change gems used to change color. I'm finky that way, and it would keep people guessing
Blade length: Variable (ala Corran horn, Gantoris) Short sword, normal, double length
Double-Bladed/Single blade
comes apart into two handles
both blades can function as lightwhips.
I'd also look into making some other Sith Weapons, like Lanavark Disk launchers

I would choose light side - evil doesn't really impress me as 'cool'. I mean, if you choose the dark side you would have to really be a mean s$@%##!itch. I wonder how many of you would kick the crap out of a crying baby and her starving mother. Besides, I would rather retain my own personality and earn respect by honest and hard work rather than kill everybody who doesn't drop down to their knees when I enter the room. A bit of an idealist I am.
Still, it would be nice if someone walks up to you with 20 of his buddies and says 'hand over your wallet' and you use throat grip and then throw his dead body against the wall...yeah, that would be fun.
But still I choose the light side. I can always kill them with my lightsaber should they choose to attack me :)
Oh, and a strange thing: dark jedi's can use the Force to kill/harm someone.
If a light jedi does that, it is considered as a move toward the dark side. But they can still achieve the same by slicing the poor bastard to bits using lightsaber & passive powers of the force (like foreseeing the moves the opponent will make). I dont really see the difference - effect is the same, only different style.

Means to an end. Using the Force to kill is inherently aggressive, while lightsabre is slightly less so.Tolya wrote:Oh, and a strange thing: dark jedi's can use the Force to kill/harm someone.
