EDIT: Never mind, it's only gone on the main forum pages, not in the thread pages themselves.
Yeah, but its still friggin irritating.
I don't recall that the old main index page has a dropdown jumpbox; it would be rather silly since you can get to any forum with a single click from there anyway.

The old search page could not give you search results from a specific forum. Any search was always global even if you specified that you only wanted results from one particular forum.

PS. you can search by author and sort the results and jump to a specific post. Precisely what functionality was in the old one, and what did it look like? Are you talking about the "search" page, or some other form of search function?
EDIT: Would you consider another theme (don't care which color it's in) with the old style author searching? I'd be happier than a pig in shit.
Could you describe precisely what was different about the "old style author searching"? I didn't personally notice any difference.

The old MilleniumFalcon (the others were always like this AFAIK) one listed the author's posts in reverse chronological order and it jumped directly to the spot on the page it was made when you clicked.

This one sorts by threads instead of posts, and sorts in reverse chronological, but by the newest thread that anyone's posted to, not just the author being searched for.

Arthur, you can change all of those options around. More work, but yes, you can do it.

Which is why you select "display results as posts".

We're talking about the dropdown in the thread list page. Like the Off-Topic front page.
