Tom Leykis... radio talk host and atheist

Leykis has a talk radio show that is nationally syndicated (60+ stations I believe). Anyway, he is the ONLY radio personality I have heard publicly state he is an atheist. He even has occasional topics called "Ask the atheist" where he totally proves all the bible thumpers wrong. Quite entertaining.

Leykis is my favorite talk show host next to Stern. Tuesday he did the "Ask The Atheist" segment, opening it up with the "Thank You God" segment. He'd read awful things in the paper like kids suffocating in cars, and end it with "Thank You, God!" When people would call in screaming at him, he'd calmly ask them why God let that happen; what good came out of roasting a kid in a car? Funny stuff.

The best part is that Leykis is highly intelligent, and just rips apart the idiots that call and complain about him.

I've been listening to Tom for over 5 years now. I have yet to hear anyone prove him wrong. Of course, I'm not stupid, part of that is because he knows how to avoid/divert certain questions. But when it comes to religion, not one person has even come close to making a statement that Tom couldn't prove false in one second. Easy prey for a guy like Tom!

Used to listen to him, but the rare atheism segments weren't worth wading though hours of "I hate women!" ranting.

Tom gets a lot of hate mail. He loves it too. Some days he will devote an hour of his show just to callers that hate his guts. That is always entertaining.

Personaly, I never liked those talk show hosts who's entire show revloved around them being an asshole. I guess I can see how some people might find is funny, but it always bothered me.

He was on for a short time in NYC after Opie and Anthony were kicked off the air. Infinity has since replaced him, AFAIK.

He's a radio DJ on talk radio. Check out the website

GAP (pun intended), I agree that a lot of Tom's topics are similar and he rants about them non-stop. That is his style. But the same could be said for most of us. I'll bet if I were to look up all 600+ posts of yours on this board, I would see a pattern of posts that defines your outlook on things. So one could gather from that pattern that you also rant about the same things over and over.

I haven't even read any of your other posts on this board, but I'll bet I am right... at least, in the same generalization that you label Tom with.
