That one's great. I think it must be my favorite James Bond theme, and there are a lot of good ones. It's something about the opening I think.Gandalf wrote:Shirley Bassey- Goldfinger

Quicksand, sixth song on Hunky Dory, follows Kooks written for Mr. Bowies son Zowie, preceeds Fill Your Heart which is an uncharecteristacly peppy song for the Bowie of the period, although its lyrics are charecteristic of him at some times. Quicksand is believed to be written on a couple things, none of which are too certain from my sources, though its mention of World War two heroes leads me to believe that it tells of the sinking of man, and the lies of propaganda. It is a solid song all around, and remarkably good, if a downer.The_Lumberjack wrote:Ooh, now I'm listening to a live copy of Quicksand by David Bowie, and 'The Mighty Atlantic' by Runrig, a somewhat underrated scottish rock/country/folk group, oh, and local boy Dire Straits doing 'Going Home', a pretty cool guitar solo type song.
What band is that by?innerbrat wrote:BLOODY FIREALARM!!!!!
