Most of the (either serious or humourous) critiques of Arnold I've seen so far employ roughly the same tactics: talking about his movie career and poking fun at the fact that he's an actor. This actually plays right into his hands by making his opponents seem childish.
If people who don't like him continue to poke fun at him for being an actor, all he has to do is say a handful of substantive things in public here and there during the campaign and he'll coast to victory on the sole perception that he's being unfairly judged due to his acting career.

I seriously think Arnie could win just because of popular support; he seems to be the clear favourite right now, and he hasnt even layed down any of his plans or policies really. and i think thats significant too-i love the guy, but why the fuck should people vote for him? who the hell knows, he hasnt said much more than vague promises to "clean up the state" and so forth. Its dangerous to vote a guy into governor because he was an action star. I do hope that he is capable of maintaining the status of governor though, i'd really like to see him win, he's a very smart businessman and he always seems to get the job done.
