Its based on some calcs Mike did on ASVS a few years ago comparing the DS to the TDiC fleet - he figured that the DS SL was a billion times as powerfull, I just devided the figures by 20 and 360 and you get that figure (this does include NDF of course but we dont actually see them do alot of damage).

Only a fool believes in absolute victory. In theory the Empire could beat the Federation. Don't become too confident in theoretical absolute, flawless victory. The wise accept the possibility of defeat, no matter how "superior" they may be. Trek isn't dead yet. Don't ASSUME cause it makes an ASS out of U and ME. Wait until Nemesis comes out (The movie, not me). Then make a decision as to whether it is dead or not.

Seriously Darkling even if you wanted to use high end 128 Q-torps, may I remind you of somthing

100 Defanits pumping out 8 per second Q-Torps agian or 4,000 Torps every second

215,595,703 missiles /4000 missles(sec)=53,898 seconds/60=898minutes/60=14.97 Hours of Direct Hammering to take down a section of ISD shields by 100 Defanits

Our current *BEST estmate as to SW ISD MK II shield strength with a provided ST comparsion

Hmm lets see 10,000 Defiants(Since SF is by most estmates 12k Big) so 400,000 a Second or 215,595,703/400,000=538.98 seconds/60=8.9 Minutes from 10k Defiants to take down an ISD MK II shields by the current most likley SW Shield Strength figures

As they say... OUCH

There is absolutly no question in my mind that ST could crush the Empire. A Star Destroyer can only go .5 past lightspeed, there's only 1000 ships in the Imperial Navy and only like 12 of them are Star Destroyers, the Death Star can only blow up planets containing large amounts of hydroxide, lasers can't even penetrate the Enterprise's navigational deflectors....it goes on.

Actually I worked out that all of SF couldnt take down the shields of an ISD if you take the 128 MT figures because from what I have seen you cant pour energy on and have it bring down SW shields over time you have to apply more energy that they can get rid of and all of SF doesnt have the fire power.

, I have been looking into it and on almost evry above average calc people yell that its over ruled by other incidents yet the other incidents are less numerous.

You stated ever single one had been refuted - thats an unsubstantiated claim, this clacl im looking at cant be ignored because it has lots of nice measurements etc - and they are even in the right units and so forth.

My opinion is based upon the fact you seem to becoming more and more militant of late.

I also say that the high calcs are argued against in this way based upon looking at the arguemtns against the calcs which have been that over and over again (some where valid but alot were just that).

In short people in glass house's.....
