My Dinner with Aron
OK, well, maybe not dinner, but lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City.
Yesterday I went to the city with my sister to have lunch and hang around with Aron Kerkhof and his family (a gaggle of Kerkhofs; his parents, brother, wife and him). Yes, we dined at the Hard Rock Cafe, talked smack about all y'all punks and wandered around in the heat and humidity.
Like an idiot I wore jeans. Praise the City for air-conditioned subway cars only two days after the blackout.
So we had fun. Wandered about Central Park for a while after that hunting the Zoo, then spent twenty minutes in the hellish inferno of the subway station at 59th and 5th trying to get Metrocards. We parted ways there, as he and his family went to ground zero and me and my sister went to Midtown Comics in Times Square (40th and Broadway IIRC), one of the best comic shops I've ever seen.
Pictures once they get the film developed, I suppose. And a good time was had by all, including my sister, who fell off a rock in Central Park.
We're gonna try to set something up in December for any of you New York denizens.

Well, educate me, then! In order to be a legend, there must be stories...and good ones. Spill, por favor!Demiurge wrote:One that everyone knows about but you. Well, you and the orange.Zaia wrote:Oh, indeed? What sort of legend?

Well, he's...I can't believe you don't know who he is. He is... You just have to know him. He can't be described. I mean... I just can't imagine anyone NOT knowing who he is! I do! Well, crap Rob, you'd have to link to it while I'm reworking it! I hope it works reasonably well... I started moving it over to the new blog system before going to NYC, and its only half done. Also working on converting the deja links to google news ones.
Anyway, ya'll are making me blush... Enjoyed meeting you and your sis Rob. Lets do it again, k? I'm not sure if you mentioned the possible tie in with ROTK. Does anyone know when that comes out exactly?
