A real game of SABACC
That's what I'd like.
But there isn't one that exists in real life. I've seen the crappy applications on the internet, but I havn't yet found a computer version that randomly changes the values of the cards. That's the whole fun of the game!
Has anyone seen it? I want it.

IIRC, only some versions of Sabaac feature randomly-changing card values in-universe. That said, no, I have never seen a real-world application that featured random card values.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

There's the general ideas; You get three cards and can take a 4th. You try to get as close to 23 as you can without going over. Also bad is getting -23 or zero.
There's 4 suits; flasks, staves, sabers, and coins, each worth one to fifteen points, as well as a suit of face cards with negative values. The cards also can randomly change every 15-30 seconds.
Different variants allow for different "arrays" like the Idiot's array, which is a zero, a 2, and a 3, for a literal 23. Different variants also give cards different values, positive or negative, as well as different gameplay methods.

That's pretty neat, but it forces you to discard at least one card even if you don't want to.YT300000 wrote:I think this one randomizes: http://www.ehnet.org/sabacc/

IIRC, that's been mentioned as part of sabacc rules.CorSec wrote: That's pretty neat, but it forces you to discard at least one card even if you don't want to.

There are rules in one of the old WEG books (Dark Force Rising Trilogy Sourcebook). Unfortunately, the only person I know with the book isn't talking to me right now, so I can't grab the official rules .
