I was under the impression that you didn't need any official sanctioning to be a reverend. Unless the World christian church is something special.

and yes, anything I say has the same backing any other preacher.

and Im quite happy to do marriages of all sorts - tho I cant promise quality of ceremony. . .

Currently only the church secretary calls me "Reverend," and that's a joke because I've led two sermons (one of our pastors died of liver cancer, and I got drafted to cover for him).

Not far from it, HDS. A reverend fills the same role as a priest, but without the royal connotations or the "only hotline to God" aura.

As an aside, I'm ordained by both the Universalist church and Spiritual Humanism - both on a personal lark.
