Permanent punishments

I was thinking about it, hell certainly does seem harsh (I know most of you don't believe in it) but what about something like murder, which permanently ends someone's life and nothing can change it?

Deliberate murder, raping of a child, mass murder/serial killing... these deserve as much punishment and pain as the Afterlife can dish out.

I'm not really sure, I mean I think they definitely deserve a punishment, but what if after that punishment they repeat thier offense, then after they get out they do it again and again and again, what if punishment isn't working?

I dunno. infinity of hellfire is a rather extesnive punishment. I mean, you could suffer 10 billion years for every atom in the universe, and still not even be 1% there.

by that time, they could have evolved from a bit of scum water to a god who designs galaxies.

The nice thing about Hell is it's impossible to be a repeat offender.

I don't condone thinking it's fair to send people to Hell for anything less than the worst acts, but you have to admit, you can't exactly get out.

Ehh, I tend to think that if someone is convicted of murdering someone else, the punishment they deserve is a bullet to the temple. Why go through the trouble of repeatedly and endlessly punishing someone, when depriving them of the only life they'll ever have works just as well?
