HA! I knew Taco Bell quality has dropped over the years, and I wasnt falling victim to nostalgia. The thing I hate the most is they put crappy quality tomatoes, and tiny amounts of cheese on the tacos. I remember getting a lot of cheese on a Taco Supreme.

I think the same source also mentioned Starbucks employees being paid ludicrously low wages considered how much work they do.
Actually I worked at a Starbucks inside Barnes and Noble. It didn't seem that I was getting really low wages. I got book store wages though.

Did it say how much they get paid?
I don't recall any about that, but Starbucks employees IIRC work very, very hard and should be lucky if they have any spare time at all.

Okay, I can only speak from my experience and that of my co-worker's, but when you have time to play "How long can you stand in the walk-in freezer," you don't have a tremendous amount of work.

Taco Hell is the only place I have actually gotten food poisoning; spent a three-day weekend spewing from both ends so nedless to say, I steer clear now.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

???

From what I've read about Starbucks, I've thought that their clerks work from sunrise to sunset.

I'm pretty sure it's still an 8 hour shift. Though the morning shift starts pretty early, and the closing shift ends pretty late.

My friends neice works at Starbucks, and like most places there are not that many full time workers. Most are part time working 4-5 hour shifts. This is for a couple of reasons. Many are students and cant work full time, and companies dont like to hire full time to cut down on benefits. Although from what I saw of her starting package it does seem like the offer some sort of benefits to part timers. Wages are pretty high too. She makes like 12 bucks an hour. Not bad for a college student.

And all those years, I've thought that Starbucks clerks worked like slaves and barely were paid for it...

We are barely paid for it. We just don't work like slaves. In fact, we hardly know the meaning of the word, work.
