New Books Out!
I was in B. Dalton today and I saw a couple of new books today. Shadow Puppets is now out in paperback, and there's a hardcover Enderverse book out (forget the name of it now...) consisting of three short stories involving Ender's father and Ender's Game in one book.

It's Victorious Opposition, and I bought it the first day I came back to Florida.otter wrote:Harry Turtledoves "American Empire:The Glorious Opposition" is out also I think this is the last one for its series in setting up the new one. Can't wait to read his alternate WW2 series (hopefully hes doing one!)
AHOY: SPOILERS BELOW!
I didn't like how they were killing off all of the old characters to make way for the new ones, it would've been nice for some veterans of the series, like Nellie, to see World War II. The new characters took some getting used to, but I think they'll grow on the readers.
Camp Dependable really gets some irony around the end, when dependable old Jefferson Pinkard kills off two thousand blacks to make room for a whole new shipment of black people coming into the camp. Having gone to death camps, this story revolted me quite a bit, but I want to see how this pans out.
Oh, and the book ends with the beginning of World War II, FYI...
