As for the Catholic test, the answers left me borderline between Progressive and Liberal, which is not surprising--though I have a very firm sense of tradition and the vital role of the Papacy in allowing the Church to survive and prosper, and hopefully in the future as well--OTOH, hee, perhaps some of my remaining admiration is for the fact that I ironically know that Catholicism is the true last remnant of the old Earth Mother cults... Council of Ephesus! Ha! It had to be that blatant.. But I digress. Anyway, the problem with the questions was that they really weren't suited for someone clearly standing out of the church.
I am, ultimately and technically, an Apostate, and one by choice. I am of the opinion that someone who is unwilling to obey all dictates of the Church hierarchy should not participate within the Universal and Catholic Church. You either obey, or you leave, and in the end the choice was clear enough for me. My long term hope, however, would indeed be for a Progressive Pope who can use the power of the Papacy to address the clear issues of that the Church has and make it capable of functioning in the modern and industrial world.
That is the advantage the Catholic Church has over protestantism and why it is likely to continue to survive and prosper--it is a body led by an infallible leader, heir to one of the Apostles, who can change doctrine as-is necessary to respond to major changes in society. Protestant churches, limited to interpeting the Bible, with its cumbersome lists of bronze-age or at best iron-age prohibitations, are far less able in truth to cope with the realities of modern society.

Eh, I have never held these kinds of test in very high credence, anyways. If you can find out your religion in 20 questions, then that is pretty shallow. I think your religion/denomination is something alot deeper and more personal than a simple test.
