Or maybe something just broke; you know that would be the more likely and reasonable explanation. A nuclear test isn't even on the table of course, since it would have to be a high altitude burst over Europe or the Atlantic and we'd kind of notice that sort of thing.

Move the NYC blackout from "natural cause" to "suspicious cause"

Indeed, two major cities in as many weeks...

Three, if you want to count Helsinki (Yes, it's small fry compared to London and NYC, but the biggest in Finland). We had a city-wide blackout last Saturday that cut power from Helsinki, Vantaa and the surrounding communities, leaving nearly a million people without any power. Only lasted for 45 minutes to somewhat over an hour, depending on what part of the city you were in. Ultimate cause still unknown, but it happened after they connected a power distribution node back into the network after routine maintenance, something caused a technical failure in a big transmission line and the lights went out all over. The authorities were hopping mad about it, and they're going to tear the power network down to the ground if they have to to find the cause.

Ahhh...the tests are almost complete. First the heat ray tested over Paris and now our EMP projector in London. Once we test the rabid gerbil swarms our triumvirate of superweapons will be ready for deployment.
