BTW - I beg MTV from excluding the Necronomicon from their remake of Evil Dead.

A live action Cowboy Bebop could work, provided it's put in the hands of someone who understands anime.

Of course, this is MTV, so that's unlikely. Worst of all, they'll probably replace Yoko Kanno's soundtrack with some lame-ass pop shit.

Watching this series will probably be like watching a family member being brutally raped, tortured, and degraded. If it is in fact made.

MTV 2 is starting to have some of the stuff MTV 1 has, last I saw. So they make an MTV 3, promising it'll stay show-free. Then 4. Then 5. 6. 7. 8. So on. :P

I don't know why they had to have an MTV2 channel and a Rap channel. They only ever show hip-hop shit on MTV2 anyway.

Gah. This is embarrasingly stupid. I say again;

I disagree. If MTV is digging itself a hole, it will be an infinite hole.

I think you're being overly optomistic. They'll screw Cowboy Bebop up completely. I just hope Bandai has the good sense to tell MTV know. It'll never work.

This is a bullshit article. There's nothing about this on Aint It Cool News, Scifi Wire, or Dark Horizons.

I am tempted to simply dismiss it as a joke, but I have learned that entertainment executives are some of the etupidest people on earth.

Carson Daily as Ash, though, surely they can't be that dumb, can they?

Let me think...

Live Action Dragonball Z: SUCKED!

Live Action Sailor Moon: SUCKED!

Live Action Gundam: SUCKED! (Well, okay, the CG was good.)

Live Action La Blue Girl: Uh, I'm not going to watch it to find out.

Live action renderings of anime rather have a history of sucking.

This is a joke. Duh. No one would be stupid enough to put such a cult-classic in the hands of MTV, let alone cast Carson Daily as the main character.

Plus, I suggest you read the title of the link in DF's sig. It really says it all.
