You're probably just being paranoid.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
Paranoid isn't thinking that everyone's out to get you. They are. Paranoid is thinking that they're conspiring.

Paranoia is just smart thinking when people are out to get you, or so my BF says.

The only MP3s I have are some live concert bootlegs which you can't find on any CD. I figure the bastards will say it's a violation of some sort since one shouldn't be recording concerts in the first place, but whatever, I'm Canadian. I just hope my government doesn't cave in when it counts.

Well, who knows? In The Sum of all Fears director's commentary, they mentioned the Marines (who were real, live, active duty, or reserve, don't remember, Marines) couldn't bring in their weapons and had to use props because they were afraid of "invasion" or whatever.

Heh, the Canadian governement is afraid of one CH-53E (or two, if that other one was loaded, IIRC) of Marines in their country with whatever weapons they can carry on a chopper (didn't seem to be anything beyond hand-held). So they might just cave if the RIAA shows up with some shotguns in enough force. :D

What about the Fair Use Act that Nitram dug up? That sinks the RIAA case right there, and I think she can sue for libel or slander.

Doesn't that particular MP3 classify as Nazi propaganda, of which ownership or possession is illegal in some places?? :?

But didn't Robert Johnson make a deal at the Crossroads with Satan for talent and women?

Or was it Led Zeppelin?

Strangely enough, one of the largest distributors of Nazi Metal (heavy metal with Nazi lyrics - unfortunately, such a thing exists) is a German company with the somewhat suspicious name of "No Colours Records"... it's quite a mystery how that corporation has survived for so long without the authorities investigating...

What if he's making some documentary about the Hitler attrocities and needs that mp3 for background or whatever? But no, can't have any documents related to immoral acts or you'll get in jail

Well, the newest versions of Kazaalite++ actually boasts that it can block RIAA's IP numbers. Not sure if it really works or if it's just fluff.

Anyways, I agree that CDs cost way too much. DVDs do have a hell of a lot more content than a music CD and they are worth their price. But nineteen bucks for just one CD, which may only have ten or twelve songs is outrageous. Maybe after I get a job and write a book, I'll use that 79 cent download deal I've seen. Till then, I'm a downloading.

Also, your choice of Ariel Sharon as avatar should probably convince anyone that you're not a Nazi. :P
