Math: Up yours, my high school math teachers sucked. Besides, I didn't get any precalc junk until senior year anyway. I could've maybe done Calc (Engineering Calc would probably kill me, but I'm not too sure what the differences are) but I wanted to be sure. And since I'm shooting for an NROTC 3-year scholarship, I want to get as good of grades as I can.

As for chemistry...I have no idea why I'm taking it at all. I hate it, and unless it's a GE requirement, I'm not sure why I'm even bothering (current major is mech engineering, but I may change it to Political Science or History, since I really don't need the engineering as much as I thought I did for the Navy) taking it. I'd much rather do Physics; I feel more solid in that, and it's one of the judgements on the scholarship anyway. Alas, drop/add week is over and I ain't shelling out $100 to drop Chem. That, and I'm not sure if I can fit Physics in my sched at this point. :(

I took AP Biology in 11th grade; no room for AP Chem until senior year :D

Engineering calculus has work more or less geared for engineering students. Life-science calculus is the 'easy' class, the 'normal' calculus course is more pure mathematics.

Besides, my high school got entirely too much funding :D

As for chemistry, it's difficult but I think if you work through it you shouldn't do too badly in college. Physics would be better for you, though. Be warned: if you take the Physics w/ Calculus sequence you'll need to take Modern Physics as well if you want to take something like the MCAT later on in life. Physics w/o Calculus is an accelerated course that includes it.

That would've been handy to know prior to 1700 today. Now it'll be a $100 penalty or whatever the Hell it is, plus a W.

*sigh*

I'll just stick with it, and see what happens. Odds are I'm leaving Engineering anyway. Not sure to what yet, though. I'll probably know better by the end of the semester.

BAHAHAHAHAHA! I graduated in May. No more of this shit for me! At least not for a long while! Software engineering ROCKS!

You folks have my sympathies... *prrrf!* :P

I dropped SLS 1101 today. Two credits wasn't worth finding out about the damn architecture of some campus building.

"Why did they design it the way they did?"

How the fuck should I know, and why do I care why the person who designed the HMS building wanted damn crossed staircases, or why the stairs in BEH can only be accessed by a side door on the outside?
