Ohhh, ice bergs are forming in the street! Wait...they're melting again...Damn tropical hurricanes. Shoulda brung my camera. Now I'll have to wait a whole hour. :D
hahah

Thats the only thing about Michigan that I don't miss. :) My first winter there, it rained, sleeted, snowed, hailed, and had sunshine....all in one day! Coming from Tennessee (and later moving back after almost three years), this was a big shock to me but everyone else was like "meh". Matter of fact, that year we had thundersnows! (thunderstorm where it snowed instead of rained)

The year I moved out of Minnesota we had power go out for three days due to a massive thunderstorm with 90 MPH winds.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.

So I've heard that the East Coast generally gets a lot of rain (and it did while I was there, as well). So do you get a lot of rain where you are?

You live in Albq.? Wow. Finaly getting some rain on the west side. Today, my and my friends were driving on I-25 and it raind and hailed so hard we had to drive less than 30 mph. We couldn't see the cars infront of us less then 15 feet away.

the Northeast had been in a long drought since about 1997. rainfall has been scarce and we might not get more than a foot of total snowfall in the winter (at least that's how it's been in the Philadelphia metro area). Then around August or September of 02', it started to rain again. We got over 30 inches of snow over the winter and it rained nearly every day in May and June. for a while in July we were below average, but towards the end of the month it rained every other day or so. the first half of August was pretty wet, too. now it's drying out a little bit.

Wow. It's funny how fast things can change.

3 days ago, we were under an extreme drought warning and excessive heat warning, as it was in the lower 100's with heat indices between 105 and 115 during the day, and never getting below 80 at night. As well, in July and August, we had about .5" of rain, which is very bad since those are usually pretty wet months.

Now, it's been raining for 36 hours straight, we're under flash flood watches, and it's forecast to rain for another 24-36 hours, and that's if Tropical Storm Grace doesn't make a bee-line north and bury us under a deluge.

And the forecast high for tomorrow is 69F, cooler than any low temp we've had in the last two months.

A good place to be a weather geek :)
