My last name, Kim, is literally one of those that every other Korean has--somewhere around 40% or so of Koreans are Kim's. Plus, the particular "clan" of the Kim family that I belong to is also the most common (the Kim's are broken up along specific family clans). But other than periodic questions asking me if I know a so and so Kim who lives in *insert random location,* I really like it--it's straight forward, short, and mono-syllabic

I wouldn't really want to change my last name. It's only two letters long, so it takes so little time to write or spell for someone else! What I can't believe is that people sometimes ask just how to spell "Ha."

My last name is fairly rare. I gained some notoriety in 6th grade cause I happened to have the same last name as a girl named Tickey when I arrived at that school. She was black, I was not. Things like that are hillarious to 6th graders.

Hmm, Valdemar or Zakalwe... what to choose.

I always liked MacLeod though or my Mum's middle name, McKenzie.

I like grand names too such as PHILLIP OF BURGUNDY. Any Blackadder fan will get that.

Hmm, Blackadder...

My last name is ancient, noble, and renowned. I'll never change it.

But if I did, I'd go fo my Great-Grandmother's maiden name, Daudistahl. :D

Something that's really easy for idiots to pronounce and spell.

"Robertson" sounds simple enough, I think. Robert-son, as in "son of Robert" or "Robert's son."

Yet, over the years I've often been called "Mr. Robinson," "Roberson" and "Robson" or "Robeson." Once, I kid you not, I even received a letter addressed to "Sean Bolderston."

Bolderston?! What kind of illiterate shit is that?

I think "R" would suffice, or maybe I'll dispense with the last name altogether. Screw the family. I'll give my kids the option of changing it back to the full, "complicated" version if they want to

I would only change my last name to Wong instead of my current "Wang" to avoid the jokes yet I'll still be King. :D~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I used to want to. My name is Herron and kids can be cruel. I got called Fishey for some reason becasue of it. My surname is Irish for "Son of the Devotee of St. Keiran". I've come to love it. However i am still tempted to change it becasue of my family history. My family are the founders of the biggest shower of bastards in Northern Ireland. But hey how many guys here can say their family founded a Parimilitary Army.

"L Jackson" would be cool.

or perhaps "King Of Kings"

Or some demon/ angel name like Azazel or Moloch or Baal, imagine if my name was something like Rye Q Moloch, now that would be cer-a-zee.

On a side note, here's an actual name on a birth certificate that I mailed out today:

Legacy Olivia Cain.

I feel sooooooo sorry for that little girl... and I wonder if the Father or Mother thought that one up.

Yes, I would like to change my name, because mine is long and complicated, but since the first simple name that I like happens to belong to the man I'm in love with, saying I'd like his might come off a little on the psychotic side. Which I try to avoid when I can. So I'll just shut up now and not mention that my name would be Kristin Drake if I somehow managed to get it in the end. :D

Hunt would be kind of funny as a last name for me. Though maybe Trotsky is better.

I like Moon just fine. I guess if I was serious about changing it, I'd go with something like Hamer my grandmother's maiden name, and one I've always liked.

I wonder if somewhere out there, there is a kid whose parents named him 'Stone Johnson.'

As some of my freinds pointed out if your first name is Mike, do not change your last name to Hunt. Just say those two names together quickly and you'll see.
