Yeah, saw it on the news today, trouble is i could imagine getting it in to water, but there aren't that many places you can get them out so they're ridiculously novelty based only... :?

Yeah, but novelty factor is so much higher with this thing!

Not to mention retracting wheels! Wonder how much this compromises the suspension dynamics too?

Anyway for £150,000 and 175 brake I'd really want more than 100mph on the road! I've bought motors that can do that for less than £150. (With an MOT too) Which leaves me £149,850 for a boat.

That's the nice part about living next to the Kanawha River... ya can't go a mile without seeing a boat dock on one bank or the other... And there's also the Elk and Coal Rivers as well!
Hell, Think of taking it thought the Locks on the River! OR the looks on people's faces as we drive by on the river, racing them as they drive Kanawha Boulevard!
I could ever have a starring role in the Charleston REGATTA!!!

The website's BBC, so you bet it exists. :D

Very awesome! Now if only we had flying cars too.
You can already buy flying car. Search the net and you'll find a site where you can buy it.

I was thinking that too, but upon closer viewing, its definately not. Can you imagine a full-size human being fitting in the middle of a MX-5 with a full seat width on either side of them?
That's something else remarkable - I only recall three other sports cars with a single-row three-seat arrangement. (The McLaren F1 is the best known - but there's also the Matra-Simca Bagheera and its successor, the Matra-Talbot Murena)
