Does everyone who wants the said item, whatever is it, try to wait until the last minute to buy it? Think I'd rather go with the buy it now options?

Well it depends on a few things.
First and foremost to consider is, if the buyitnow option price is reasonable to you.
2. Is the item high on demand?
2a.If it is and the buy it now price is reasonable then take it before someone else does. Or you can have a bid fest with those other people and see what happens.
2b.IF it's not, bid on it to try and get it as a low price as you can due to less or no other people wanting it.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Well, bid-sniping is a very popular practice on eBay. People try to get an item for cheap by waiting until the absolute last minute to bid on it. The thing to do in those cases is to remember what limits you have set for yourself.Shrykull wrote:Does everyone who wants the said item, whatever is it, try to wait until the last minute to buy it? And before you use Buy-it-Now, ask yourself if the price you're paying is reasonable, compared to buying it from the store, or compared to other people's Buy-it-Now auctions. And remember, when you're asking yourself this question, don't forget to factor in the cost of shipping.
