Anyway, the guy kept driving past, saying that if they lobbed any more tomatoes, he'd shoot them. Guess he wasn't kidding.

Throwing stuff at people in a random way like this is playing the lunatic lottery. Your chances of winning are small, but there is AWAYS a winner, no matter how many or few play.

What once was ok, is not any more. Kids can't play with toy guns that look real, and pissing off random strangers is not safe. Kids can't trick or treat unsupevised, without some dissapearing. Holloween is now an adult holiday, more than a kids thing.

On the other hand, he did give a warning, and if someone is too stupid to realize the danger, I'm not going to really feel sorry for him.

Thing I found amazing was...he passed that same section like 3 TIMES!!! Obviously the driver should at least realize what's going on the second time and why is he even going back and forth anyway?~Jason

Keim was with about 10 other members of the Amish community, ages 15 to 23. The group told the sheriff's office they had been throwing tomatoes and firing paintball guns at passing vehicles.

Amish and PAINTBALL GUNS!?!? Anyway they were warned and got what was comming. What the man did was wrong, but I do not shed a single tear for the death of that idiot.

The fact that this guy came back so many times should have been a red flag for these guys.
I guess producing a gun from a car doesn't happen much in their world. The man wanted to confront these pranksters, and they didn't do what normal juvinile pranksters do when the fun starts going south.
At the first sign of trouble, do the "fast fade, let's laugh our asses off after we lose this clown in the dust" escape.
They stood there ground. BAD idea. A child's responce of flight would have changed them from shit startin' adults, to fucking brats. By not fleeing this confrontaion, and calling the nut's bluff, they signaled him they wanted a fight. Stupid Amish, bringing tomatoes to a gunfight!
They sent mixed messages about what they were.

This tradition is now cancelled.

This was the unfortunate combination of bad judgement combined with bad luck. They won the loony lotto. FEW ever survive such bad luck, as psycopaths with guns are pretty rare. You could go your whole life pissing off people without dying, same as playing the lotto.
