Oddly, I've never felt the urge to change my avatar with the phases of the moon, like some people do. I've had basically the same avatar since the board was made (except for enlarging it and darkening Yoda's robes).

It's Nayuki Minase from Kanon, which I more or less decided on oringinally because I have a tendancy to feel sleepy most of the time, (And usually wish I was asleep during the times that I'm not.) and later on because I get extremely confused if someone changes the character/nature of their avatar too much for most people that aren't me. This particular image I got off of this site, although most of the others I got off of here, probably.

The other avatars I had were a simple, three frame animation consisting of different views of a wireframe of an extremely simple model I made, and a small rendered version of a bizaare personal symbol of mine.

The Librarian, the single coolest character in the Discworld novels aside from Sam Vimes.

My last avatar was from a Tombstone poster of Doc Holliday, Virgil Earp, Wyatt Earp and Morgan Earp, captioned as "Peacemaker". If you can't grasp the symbolism I shall beat you with a cluestick.

Past avatars have included Jet from CB and Silent Bob. I chose them because they are kickass characters that are angry and/or bearded. And vaguely resemble me physically and personality-wise at times. And then of course there's been all of these.

All my avatars have been singer/songwriter babes, with my current one and the Tori Amos one getting the most use.

My Avatar is Hanger One at Moffet Field in Sunnyvale, California. It is a former blimp hangar and has been here since the 1930's. Any citizen of the South Bay has seen it sitting next to Highway 101.

During the cold war Moffet Field was a big P-3 Orion base. Now days the only military presence is the California National Guard and a few Reseve units. NASA/Ames uses part of the base too.

I picked it cause its a part of my area's history. A reminder that one time this area had a significant defense presense. Sadly, within the last few years Hanger One has been closed to public access. Too bad, it is really neat inside.

Yeah, other than April Fools when I switched avatars with my BF and another time when I stole his for fun I've had the same one.
