OK here's a question related to the topic. Its based on a Yahoo news story I read about the death of CDs and DVDs.

In 2030: Do you think we'll still have the CD and DVD format? If not what will it be?

The Yahoo story suggested the future was download-on-demand. So you pay to download and play a song (for a small fee) and you never have a hardcopy (no MP3 copy for yourself)

I think thats a crock, I think there will always be a demand for a personal hardcopy... but that's personal taste. If anything, I think we'll have a CD-DVD like format, with tighter security and all sorts of legal restrictions on who can make/sell readers for that format.
