The Bothans Vs. The Jedi

Post by Dorsk 81 »

A thought occured to me last night in bed while reading through the firsy part of Reunion. The Jedi want to find a way of ending the war without wiping out the YV, yet the Bothans have gone on that kill crazy rampage and what them all dead. So hows that gunna work out?
(I won't be reply to this thread for at least a week, sorry kiddie winks, but I have to pay for living some how, i.e. a job)

I think they'll try to pull a fancy bit of sophistry and say something along the lines of "These Yuuzhan Vong are not the same Yuuzhan Vong that you wanted to massacre, in fact, these Vong ended up fighting those other Vong along with us...."

....And so forth.

Note that 'these Vong' are the slaves and Shamed Ones who rose up against the 'other Vong' aka Overlord Shimrra and the priests, warriors and shapers.

BTW, that "kill crazy rampage" is referred to as "ar'krai"
No conscience. No law. No stopping them....

....well, maybe a Happy Meal would do it.

Ar'krai is such bullshit, it was hardly mentioned but in one or two books IIRC and so far hasn't changed a damn thing with the plot.

This is true. The only time I think I heard it mentioned in any type of war context was when Ker'Fey gave his little "what can I do to hurt the Vong" speech.

Thank you for the input, the name eluded me for a moment.

The authors will find some way to BS their way out of it. SW EU has gone to shit recently.

Quality perhaps, but sales sure as hell seem to stay high for some reason.

There have been some very good books in the last year or two.
