IBS with constipation

This is the diagnosis my buddy recently got. Anyone familiar with this? Basically, when he's not constipated he has diarrhea. I am posting this so that when you think things are bad, you can at least say to yourself 'at least I don't have IBS with constipation.'

Irritable bowel syndrome? Oh that's the thing my Mam got diagnoised with when she couldn't eat anything remotely nice because it gave her incredible stomach pains. Unlucky.
