I haven't registered on SB, and I don't feel like I'd bother, so will somebody else please smack this down by pointing out that it is the responsibility of the theists to prove that God exists (as they claim) and if they fail, atheism is the more logical alternative because it leaves things exactly the same but without that extra term.

Of course, this is what he did to me, although his attack was the strawman since I have already called his central premise into doubt with my arguments and he refused to answer my question (or at least he did as of last night).
The problem is that he uses fancy language and the pretense of open-mindedness, thus making those unfamiliar with his tactics falsely believe he is a well-educated, well-informed person.
When, in fact, SeanG is a pseudo-intellectual pisshead (And I've called him that to his face, metaphorically speaking, so this isn't a "behind-the-back" statement).
The best way to deal with him is to ignore the appeals to authority and cut straight to the heart of the matter, his core argument, which is quite weak due to the effort he puts in his "supporting material".
