depends on how you were taught. Some people were taught using the "whole language" method. others were taught phonetically. others still, were taugth using a combonation of both.

Perhaps...but it takes extra time to read stuff out of place .
I can understand your post but that's because I read the word...and you weren't completely out and outright jibberish.
Also didn't go far enough...your first sentence could've looked like this
Aocdcnirg to a rsrecaeh at an Egislnh uvsreitiny, it dsone't metatr in waht oedrr the ltertes in a word are, the only iptrotnat thing is that the fsrit and last lteter are in the rghit plcae.
Some words are easier to spell in the mind...but with enough you can make even this thought fall into completly incoherent. And CC has a point...it does depend on how you were taught.

F*cking neat. I never knew that that was possible, but will have to play around with it some time.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

If this becomes a trend I'm going to be rather irate.

You won't be the only one. The text in the first two scrambled posts was surprisingly legible, but The Third Man's post slowed me down a lot more. It depends on how badly scrambled the letters are and the ways you are taught to read, as well as relying on the very rigid sentence structure of the English language. It's also dependent on the consonant to vowel ratio of the language. If there's more than roughly two consonants for every vowel, it gets a lot more difficult. If there's a roughly equal ratio (e.g. Finnish has a 99/100 vs English 151/100), the results are completely unreadable.Gandalf wrote:If this becomes a trend I'm going to be rather irate.
