Of course that would require a rather large number of the people who post on this forum to grow up.

Every time I come here to see what is going on I leave in disgust ove rthe pathetically juevenile comments made here. Its either crude sexual comments about Star Trek writers or cheap profanity that only gets more tedious and boring with time.

Can people please try growing up here, I doubt it. I fully expect now to get attacked and electronically abused left and right by knuckle draggers who cannot post without their crude jokes or profanity.

I really would have expected more from Mr. Wong. He runs a great site and is letting it get debaced by the people who post here.

The only major profanity I see here is usually against total morons and trolls who fully deserve it.
Also, any "crude sexual comments" or anything else directed at B&B is far less than what they should really get, they are producers of pure televised nonsense, they get payed millions of dollars to write horse manure, who cares what is said about them.

Profanity does not alter the validity of an idea. If they're spouting stupid ideas, then THAT is a problem. If they're making reasonable ideas but with profanity, I don't see the problem. I see both on the site.

Would you prefer a strict fascist style of board, where moderators ruthlessly silence anyone they feel isn't being polite enough? What I would prefer is intelligent conversation instead of comments like "B&B sucks balls" multiple times in the same post because the poster does not agree with a particular Star Trek episode. The comments are immature and add nothing to the arguement while making them easy to invalidate.

Personally, I wouldn't blame Berman as much as Braga. Braga is much worse, and if we can get rid of him, then maybe there'll be some good eps, like 'Shuttlepod one' was good in the opinions of a lot of Trek fans. As it is, though, the future looks bleak...

I hated Shuttlepod One. It had no purpose and no plot other than to advance two characters that have since been destroyed, anyway. I can easily develop a character in one chapter of a book, but if he behaves in a completely different manner in the next chapter, then what good have I done? None of the characters in Enterprise have any consistency. That is why the show fails.

Shuttlepod One is a fairly good episode if taken in a vacuum, and you are quite correct with Trip being by far their best character. The problem is that Reed seems to disappear after that show, developing no personality and not being consistent with his character during the episode. Trip accused him of being a pessimist, but when have we seen him acting pessimistic outside of that one show? It was probably Enterprise's best or second best episode, but that doesn't stop me from hating it. It is just one more reason why the show does not succeed--it cannot develop believable, interesting characters.

Personally, I think 'Broken Bow' has been Enterprises' best ep yet...closely followed by 'Shuttlepod One' and 'Silent Enemy'. But not for what Braga said about S.E:

"I thought it was cool to show the phase cannons and show that it's pretty f*****g dangerous out in space." *cough* retard *cough*.

I give Broken Bow 8/10, Shuttlepod one 7/10 and Silent enemy 7/10.

And at least Archer's character is consistent...he STILL hates Vulcans

On the other hand, he goes out of his way to help others ("Civilization") then gleefully lets millions of innocents die slow painful deaths because he buys Phlox's psuedoscience and thinks he's obeying the Prime Directive before it exists ("Dear Doctor").

That thing in Dear Doctor was Paramount Execs - they actually had Archer order Phlox and Phlox refuse (the end) but the Paramount execs didnt want the crew to fight so it was ordered to be rewritten.

Some of the best Star Trek episodes of any series have been the ones where the crew fought. Gah. Idiots.
