Rep. Gephardt's campaign circling the drain

Post by Iceberg »

Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-MO) is apparently feeling enough heat that he needs to fling some mud at Democratic front-runner Dr. Howard Dean, so he put up a website, http://www.deanfacts.com/, which contrasts positions that Rep. Gephardt and Dr. Dean held in the early to mid 90s. In case somebody (namely, Rep. Gephardt) hasn't looked at a calendar recently, the year is 2004, not 1995...

I think it was deliberate- Iceberg is obviously very excited about the 2004 election and President Dean's victory.

Nah, remove the comma from the end of the link.

If anything, this reminds me of why I despise Dick Gephardt.

At least Dean acknowledges that SS is a demographic train wreck, whereas Gephardt just keeps on fiddling while heading towards the oncoming pileup.

Gephardt's a joke and he never stood any real chance at the Democratic nomination —ever. Just the last, desperate flaying of a campaign that began drowning the day it was announced.

Does Clark have a chance? As I recall, Clinton entered the race later than Clark (back in 91), didn't he?

This might shock a few people but if the election boils down to Bush versus Dean, I'm voting for Dean.

Clark seems too slimy for my tastes and given his performance in Kosovo, I don't trust him to be level headed in a crisis.

If it's not Dean, I'll probably vote Libertarian as a protest.
