University Rocks!

Post by 2000AD »

I've been at uni for a week now and it rocks! The only downside is no internet connection in my room so i've had to wait until i registered on the computer network.

Anyone else just start uni?

You get drinks very cheap, the nightlife is brilliant, the footbal tem i support has it's homeground practically next to the uni, i can get discounts just about anywhere, i'm miles away from my mother and as soon as i think up some more reasons why it rocks i'll post them!

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Once again I am back at uni (but this time with a broadband connection in my flat; hah!) and I am now bored. I re-register next week and until next week, few people are here.

On the upside, mind, I have a week and a bit of bugger-all to do before actually having to do some work. ;)

But computational flow dynamics will be involved, so a bright side presents itself. 8)

Remember to study, and don't skip lectures to go the bar.

I made a nice mess of my first year ^_^

Newcastle Uni

Post by Humey »

Im 2nd year at Leeds uni, altho i live in newcastle so i know alot about it!

Doing Biology eh? Im doing Biochemistry at leeds, try to avoid it as much as possible!

Just 1 peice of advice from my year..

When u wake up blurry eyed after a night out and see the crack of daylight teasing its way thru ur curtains, and then u look at ur clock. Always remember, even tho ur lecture is in 20 minutes, HOW IMPORTANT IS IT REALLY? Come on, when u get really down to it.. I only need 40%.

Keep that lovely thought in your head. It helped thru many a day.. ugh.. fecking Amino Acids..

And for anyone from down south, it's absolutely nothing like Byker Grove. Apart from the fact that we set fire to buildings with people in wheelchairs in them, start loads of fight, all speak in full geordie twangs, and absolutely all of us have started pop careers and then gone on to become presenters of everything under the sun.

Keynote phrase to get lynched with in Newcastle: PJ Man, A'ym Blind!

Right. As in, boyfriends back home who won't have any way to know their lady friend is off getting shagged by some guy from her psych class.

The vast, vast majority of those type relationships fail, especially if the girl in question is a freshman. Do yourself a favor and make friends with some hotties. They'll start having boyfriend problems (inevitable anyway and exacerbated by distance and separation), and then who will be there to both comfort them and present an alternative? Why, you, of course. You'll be cruising down the Poontang Parkway before you know it. But you gotta act now, or some OTHER guy will end up getting to them first, and then you'll be stuck with the much less certain bar hopping/party/hope you meet someone cute and single in class or something scene.

I honestly think that in my first two years of uni I missed... at least 80% of Tuesday mornings. Monday nights tended to be good. ;)
