Sci-Fi torture methods

Post by Guest »

Ok, maybe I'm a bit sadistic.......
You have captured Bill Gates, Jack Valenti, and Hillary Rosen (or some other person/(group of people) you hate). You can pick any torture method from any sci-fi or real life that you want. You can use combinations. What would you use. I would use a goa'uld sarcophagus to keep the person alive indefinitly, and put in various creatures to tear the person apart, or sensory deprievation. I dunno, can anyone think of any automated, long lasting or biological and compact torture device? Nanobots would rip off too little at a time. Hey, what about filling the sarcophagus with water and pirahnas.

Not technically from sci-fi, but related..
I'd lock 'em in a room with a TV and play every episode of Galactica 1980 over and over.
I like horrendous mental torture better, you see.

I think I would most certainly like a Centauri energy whip. Pain increases exponentially with each lash, and 40 strikes will kill anyone.

Of course, having a vendrizi symbiote digging into your spine would be quite painful as seen in the show.

Vorlon mind rape certainly has its advantages.

In Star Wars I believe there is a torture (used by the Empire of course) where the victim is immersed in bacta, with an electric current being run through the bacta.

The electricity causes immense pain, and also slowly kills the victim... except it doesn't, because the bacta is constantly fixing their body even as it is damaged by the electricity. So they live indefenitely in constant pain.

There is also IIRC a torture used by the Empire known as "the burning" where a blaster is fired at the victim's feet on low power until the feet are burned to the bone.

Then you have interrogation droids, and also the torture rig Han was put into on cloud city (apparently with electrical contacts which could be seen sparking).

From ST there isn't much, it's pretty sanitised. I suppose you could torture somebody pretty bad with a klingon painstick, and the cardassians tortured Picard.

Strip their skin off, with a red-hot iron-rope whip, while driving small, boiling screws into their flesh.

Not sci-fi, but still good.

Hmm... well where better to turn to for torture than the 40k universe? Personally I favour the Dark Eldar weapon/torture used to great effect in the novel Nightbringer where the victim would inhale what he thought was some form of ultra-strong Eldar narcotic but was actually a fun little solution tailored to initiate an exothermic reaction with every single cell in the victims body, timed perfectly to explode with maximum possible intensity, thus turning the victim into an organic bomb easily capable of the destruction achieved by most terrorist organisations today through conventional weaponary.

Definately not the most slow or painful torture, but fun as hell. Maybe it could be employed as as the finishing touch?

Maybe I'm unimaginative, but for me The torture is the one where a cloth is forced with water into the victims mouth and stomach. Then just pull hard.

It has got to hurt. A lot

Imagine... you're strapped in a chair... hands and feet bound securely, even your head held in place, your eyelids clipped open...and even as you think to yourself "wow this is a lot like A Clockwork Orange..." the majectic strains of Beethoven's 5th thunder over the loudspeakers and pages from GK's "Portal" are flashed before you, your eyes forced to read the hideous prose, the one-dimensional characterization, total disregard for any kind of rational consistency...

Twenty hours later, the technicians in their white coats are still recording your screams..

Muahaha.

Even worse.. You've just been told that Portal made a whooping eight hours film and then they force you to see it. Front seats, Imax movie.

Torture for Dummies
by fgalkin

Step 1:
Implant subject with a cruciform.

Step 2:
Give it over to an EDust assasin and the Meatfucker

Step 3:
Enjoy the subjects' screams as he/she/it is stuck there for all eternity (or untill the subject has a tongue, that is).

Note: To prevent adaptation to pain, the victim should be taken out and put on the Shrikes thorn tree for a few thousand yers at a time.

Also Isard has her own personal Tourtuing Device, Fires off the signals that make your body go OW and feel hot and cold without doing anything

So short of a Heart attack one can tourture anyone indefinatly with this device, *Burning them alive or freezing them to death as you wish but since it does not do any acutal damage....

I would inject people with Duckbilled Platypus venom. That's nasty stuff.

Skin peeling then resurrection with sarcophagus, rinse and repeat.... sounds good. Methinks sticking someown in a sarcophagus with sensory depreivation seems horrible- dark, can't feel anything. I think it involves suspending a person in water with a pipe keeping them alive- of course with the sarcophagus they can't die unless they get shredded. They'll be crying for pain. Then take them out, strip skin off, pull tendons apart.... pour boiling oil in wounds- heal with goa'uld healing device and repeat. When they get adapted to pain send them back to sensory deprevaiton. Even better.... cut them up piece by piece, till they die, sew them back together, and put them back in the sarcophagus. ok need to be original... no sarcophaguses. can anyone think of something that will ressurect dead people

Or you could just inject them with platypus venom. Easy. Painless (for you), and effective.

Wow, surprised I'm actually replying to this thread?

My favorite way of torture which works in any Sci-Fi universe that has excellent healing capabilites and possibly regeneration....

Beaten within an inch of their lives, SLOWLY, and then heal them.
Repeat.

Or

in a D&D world.

Put a ring of regeneration on the victim.
Cut off a finger, a toe, anything. Cut them to shreds.
Let the ring regenerate the body parts
Repeat.
