What Sci Fi / fantasy universes to you place yourself in

Post by Shadow WarChief »

I ask because during the height of the WCOTC invasion, I placed myself constantly in the first scene in the fellowship of the ring movie.

Elrond says something in elvish, and the elves are lock their shields together and shoot their arrows at the advancing orc army.

I put my face on an elf, the face of my friends and people on this board on the faces of the other army.

As for the orcs....Arminiass's avatar was their faces on those multitudes of thousands.

So what about you?

ENder's game is always fun...but then again, so is the Wheel of TIme...I think I'll step up to the Wheel of Time...I always did fancy putting my face on Mat's with Rand's power...

I would place myself in the B5 universe, or maybe the SW one as a pilot of a Missile Boat or a YT-2000 (I know, big difference).

In any case, if you read my "Lord of the Morons" then you will know where I place DarkStar.

Super Star Destroyer Admiral, with a couple of my friends as Captain and General.
It is not well for one to trifle in the affairs of the ancient Chinese generals, for they have a tendency to send armies of tens of thousands of warriors after those who challenge them.

Published: Culture.

Not as yet published: mine. Culture-like except with beyond-Execession level tech and a somewhat different ideology/power structure.

IMO anyone who picks B5, ST or SW should be hauled off by the men in white coats for being masochistic to the point of posing a threat to themselves....

Captain of an Omega Destroyer, a rogue Jedi (a "grey" jedi, as in Kyle Katarn in JK2) for the Alliance, or a TOS captain

Lovecraft-verse house cat.....

The cutest of the outer races, so what if the fourlegged avatar is merely a puppet life support for an alien intellegence so powerful that it would shatter your puny mortal minds to know that they all are gods.

Changed my mind. I think I'll stick with one of Issac Asimov's quieter universes.

Spike Spiegel. I'd be dead in 26 episodes, but damn, I'd be able to fight or fly. ;)

Superhuman with my chosen power in just about any universe.
Alternatively, Dragonball Z, because I could convince the Z team to gather the Dragonballs for me, and then, see above.

I place my self as Supreme God Emperor of Humanity and all life, possibly before the cleansing and my ascension to my rightful throne.

Or In Lord of the Rings, with a V-22 turned gunship and unlimited fuel and ammunition that can never break down.

Possibly in a universe of my own creation in which the main characters randomly shift through different time lines and realities looking for parts for a countermeasure to a uber weapon of Doom. Kind of like Sliders, if everyone carried an OICW and digital solider gear in addition to being Jedi. Many of those realities are really screwy, especially the one that’s basically a cross between the Terminator future war and ASVS of years past.

I'd also really like to have an WIG fitted out for naval strike with the same unlimited fuel and ammunition/ never break down as the V-22, only in 1943.
