"My vision is to make the most diverse state on earth, and we have people from every planet on the earth in this state. We have the sons and daughters of every, of people from every planet, of every country on earth,"
- Grey Davis, 9/17/03
Whoa! Apparently the Earth is a much-much bigger place than I have been given to understand.
I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
Seems like most politicians over there are a joke, even compared to Capitol Hill. Davis has completely lost it and wants illegals rushing in so he can whore some votes, Arnold refuses to have a debate with anyone and doesn't know WTF he's doing, McClintock has a boner at the thought of deregulated companies gouging people, and Coleman just wants hot pussy in LA.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier
Hehe. That is a pretty funny fumble of words. Has'nt not made the tv or radio news yet. In all seriousness I bet Davis is pretty damn tired right now. You know the guy has got to be stressed out.
But the ways things are going I would not be surprised if he beats the game. Arnold is doing all the wrong things to get elected in this state.
How is Arnold doing? I get the impression that his campaign is stumbling because he consistently dodges hard questions, and that certainly doesn't make a candidate look good.

He's trailing behind the disgusting racist, I think.

Racist?!
Can we have a list of all the candidates and a summary of them?

He's talking about Bustamonte

Arnold is no Ronnie Reagan. Say what you will about Reagan's policies, his Alzheimer's, or the effects of age and injury upon him, but I heard one of his speeches when he was younger and politically active in California, and the man was a brilliant public orator.

Arnold is in a struggle with McClintock to win over the hard core wing of the Republican party. The problem is there are not enough hard core right wing types in California to win the governor's spot. He needs to win over the conservative democrats like me to win. So far he is ignoring that segment.
Yes, he is avoiding hard questions so far. He avoided a debate held in Walnut Creek last week. He was the only major candidate to not show up. Arnold is also avoiding KGO radio, which has the largest audiance in Northern California. KGO serves primarly the SF BAY AREA which is liberal but there are lots of wealthy folks here. There are lots of jobless folks here (ie: me). By not coming on the the morning news he is hurting himself in my opinion.
All the mayor's of the major cities here talk on the show on a regular basis in the mornings. ( Oakland's Jerrry Brown, SF's Willy Brown, and San Jose
's Ron Gonzalez ) Plus other candidates speak on the station either for the news, or as guests of the regular hosts.
He had a superb rapport with the audience, spoke smoothly and clearly, enunciated his arguments succinctly, and he had a very engaging style. He could convince you of just about anything. Reagan in his prime had great charisma as a public speaker. It was actually kind of sad to see what he had been reduced to by the end of his presidency.

What disease was it again? Alzheimer's (spelling?)
He was an actor, so I guess it's only natural for him to have such skills, but really, all great politicians have their own unique style. Notice that Dubya has none.

Yes, it was and is Alzheimer's
