Kiss star banned from book stores

Veteran rock star Gene Simmons says he's been banned from holding instore signings of his autobiography in three US cities because they become too wild.

The Kiss bass guitarist says Borders bookstore have condemned his appearances to promote Sex, Money, Kiss as too "raunchy and vulgar".

Simmons, 54, who claims to have slept with more than 3,000 women, says: "Is it my fault women come in and lift their tops or stick their butts in my face for me to autograph?

"The book's Sex, Money, Kiss not the New Testament. The title I really wanted was Women Are From Mars,

Men Have Penises.

"See, bookstores are quiet places. The first word you learn there is "Ssshhh". They're not equipped for a

party atmosphere.

"My fans aren't swinging from chandeliers, but they're enthusiastic and often in cleavage. And I give them my all.

"I take photos with them, don't take bathroom breaks, and I stay for hours until the very last person. So Borders in our upcoming Nashville, Chicago, Pennsylvania stops sent word they don't want me."

Ha

Talk about bragging rights
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

I'm even more impressed with Gene Simmons now. He's so much the man that he gets banned from places because he's such a huge party magnet. He is clearly a god and deserves worship.

Yeah, I bet he's proud to have every STD known to man, plus probably more yet to be identified.

I thought Madonna was the only one to accomplish that feat?

I never got KISS. Take away the makeup and they're just a generic 70's band to me. A few good songs, but nothing to get worked up about.

Certainly in the 70's it was the makeup and their stadium shows that set them appart from just about everyone else. They had a few good songs but they weren't great musically.

I actually think some of their music was better in the 80s when they didn't have the makeup.

Going back to the makeup was a good move just because it's cool looking. :D

With me, it's more nostalgia than anything else.
Same reason I listen sometimes to ABBA.

I have about 2 GB of 70's music on my hard drive. :D

But if it wasn't for KISS, we wouldn't have legions of Black Metal bands using Kabuki-style makeup. (Immortal, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Ancient, etc.)
